2. What we collect
Applicants: identity and contact details, information about your circumstances needed to assess eligibility, treatment cost information and, with your explicit consent, limited health information relevant to your application. Donors: name, contact details and donation records. Card details, once card payments are available, are processed by Paystack and are never seen or stored by PTPF. Enquiries: the details you choose to send us. Website visitors: we do not currently use analytics or tracking tools on this website.
3. Why we collect it
To assess and process applications for support; to verify treatment plans with providers, with your consent; to process and receipt donations; to respond to enquiries; to meet our legal and accounting obligations; and to improve this website.
4. Sensitive information
Health and fertility information is sensitive personal data. We collect only what is necessary to assess your application, and only with your explicit consent. We never ask for it through our general contact form. If your application passes first review, we will email you to request specific documents. Please send only the documents we ask for. Copies of identity documents are deleted once verification is complete.
6. How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as we need it. Applications that are not approved are kept for 12 months after the decision, so that you can reapply. Records of funded support are kept for six years after the support ends, to meet accounting and audit requirements. Copies of identity documents are deleted once verification is complete. Messages sent through our contact form are kept for 12 months. Donation records are kept for as long as accounting law requires. Information is then securely deleted.
7. How we protect it
Encrypted connections, restricted access, secure storage and regular security reviews. Only authorised PTPF personnel can access applicant information.
8. Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw your consent at any time. Contact info@theptpf.org. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
