A different path. The same hope.
Responsible. Ethical. Supported.
For qualifying applicants, and subject to applicable law, PTPF may co-fund 30% to 50% of approved eligible surrogacy-related costs. PTPF does not arrange or match surrogates.

A careful approach to a complex journey
For some intended parents, gestational surrogacy is the pathway a doctor recommends. It is also a journey with medical, legal, emotional, ethical and financial considerations, for everyone involved.
That is why PTPF approaches surrogacy support with particular care, and why our safeguards here are stricter than for any other programme.
What PTPF can co‑fund
Subject to applicable law, PTPF policy and appropriate safeguards, eligible costs may include approved:
- Medical and fertility treatment
- Clinical procedures
- Required medical and psychological assessments
- Legal services
- Counselling and psychosocial support
Support depends on meeting our criteria and on the funds available at the time.
Our safeguards
Ethical
We support only arrangements that respect the dignity, health and free consent of everyone involved.
Legal
We expect every arrangement to be supported by independent legal advice.
Medical
Treatment must be overseen by qualified, licensed medical professionals.
Welfare
The wellbeing of the surrogate is treated as seriously as the wellbeing of the intended parents.
Counselling
We encourage counselling for everyone involved, before and during the journey.

What PTPF does not do
- PTPF does not find, match or introduce surrogates.
- PTPF does not act as a surrogacy agency.
- PTPF does not give legal advice.
- PTPF does not guarantee pregnancy or a live birth.
